DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
The Bible…
We believe that the Scriptures are the verbal plenary inspiration of God and are inerrant in the original writings in both the Old and New Testaments, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. Is. 40:8; II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:10-21.
God…
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. John 4:24; John 14:23-29; Matthew 28:19; Acts 17:24; Col. 1:15-17; Deut. 6:4.
Jesus Christ…
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, that he lived a sinless life on Earth, and is the only Mediator between God and Man. Matt. 16:16; John 20:28; James 2:13, Gen. 1:26; Luke 1:27,31,35; Heb. 4:15; I Tim. 2:5; John 3:16,36.
Holy Spirit…
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men and women of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. John 3:3-7; John 16:7-14; Rom. 8:9-11
Man…
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, thereby becoming separated from God, incurring both spiritual and physical death. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit through belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can salvation, spiritual life, bodily resurrection and life everlasting be obtained. John 5:24; Acts 4:12; Gen. 1:26; Genesis 2:17; Ephesians 2:1-6; Gen. 3:1-19; II Cor.11:3; I Cor. 15:12-57; Ps. 51:5; John 3:6,7; I Thes. 4:13-18.
Christ’s Return…
We believe in the vicarious death of the Lord Jesus Christ for our sins, in the resurrection of His body from the dead, in His ascension into Heaven, where he sits at the right hand of God, ever making intercession for us; and in His personal and imminent visible future return to the earth. We believe the Kingdom of God has a present manifestation in the work of the Gospel through the Church and a future realization in the Reign of Christ at his pre-millennial return. Luke 24:6,7; Acts 1:3-11; Heb. 9:14; I Pet. 1:17-21; Rom. 6:23; Rom. 5:14; John 3:16; II Cor. 5:19; Ps. 72.
The Church…
We believe that the universal church is composed of all persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head, and that is characterized by holy faith, love and enduring hope. Rom. 12:4-5; I Cor. 10:16-17; Gal. 3:26-28; Col. 1:18.
Eternity…
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. Phil. 3:21; Rev. 20:11-15; Rev. 21:8; John 5:25-29.
