Crowd Breaker- Xtreme Fear Factor: Balance Beam
One representative from each team got to participate. Students had to swing on a rope onto a balance beam, then they had to carefully collect flags on either side. Limbo under a pole and carefully step onto a lower balance beam while still collecting flags. Then turn around on the end and come back to the beginning. If a student fell off at any time they were disqualified and the number of flags they collected were counted and the team with the most flags wins...Oh yeah, the whole time they are collecting flags they are being pelted with dodge balls.
"Take A Vacation From Yourself"
"It is a rare person who, when his cup frequently runs over can thank God instead of complaining about the limited size of his mug." -Bob Russell
1 Samuel 16:7 - "But the LORD said to Samuel, Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.
-Society looks at the outward appearance and prefers beauty but God focuses directly at the heart of a man to measure their worth.
Psalm 17:8 - "Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings."
- God stares into the one He loves and always has been looking at you.
- Every time we do something wrong we reject God and go against His laws and push away His love. Even though we reject Him He keeps loving us.
Romans 5:7-8 - "Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
2 Corinthians 5:16-21 - "So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting peoples sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christs ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christs behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
-If you run back to God He will accept you with open arms and not reject you.
Men Caught With 260 Baby Alligators Wildlife Officers Arrest 2 Men in Airboat With Bags Of Hatchlings
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers say they surprised two Sumter County men early Thursday morning when the men came off Lake Apopka with a couple of sacks full of recently hatched alligators. Robert Bo Martin Duval, 32, and Christopher Cork Scroggins, 22, both of Bushnell, were booked into Lake County jail early Thursday on felony possession/capture of hatchling alligators along with misdemeanor conspiracy charges. Duval had additional felony charges of possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon. The firearms were concealed under some vegetation in the airboat boat. FWC Officer David Straub and FWC Reserve Officer were on surveillance at the Montverde boat ramp when the two men returned from the night on Lake Apopka. You have got me, and I have a lot of alligator hatchlings, Duval said as the officers approached him and Scroggins. Unfortunately, there is an illegal market for hatchling alligators, and people who participate in this type of poaching have no regard for our resources or the laws that protect them, Straub said. Officers returned the hatchlings to the lake alive. Duval and Scroggins later bailed out on $13,000 and $3,000 bonds, respectively. Charges are pending against a woman who assisted the two men at the boat ramp, and the incident is still under investigation. Possessing/capturing hatchling alligators is a third-degree felony, which, on conviction, carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon is a second-degree felony, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
