Men's Ministries
"As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."
Proverbs 27:17
Purpose Statement: To meet men "where they are" and help them to achieve God's plan for individual growth, strong relationships, personal involvement and balanced lives.
Men's Breakfasts
Several times a year, men gather at the church for a hearty breakfast, fellowship, and encouragement from a noted speaker or sports personality. These events are always publicized in advance and provide a great opportunity to bring an unchurched friend or neighbor to hear a positive message in a non-threatening environment.
Men's Accountability Groups
Several men's accountability groups meet throughout the week at various times and locations. Several Discipleship & Accountability (DNA) Groups meet weekly at the church office.
Addictions Victorious
Addictions Victorious (AV) http://AddVicInc.org is a network of Christ centered support and recovery groups whose meetings are open to men and women of all ages seeking lasting change in their lives. They reach out in the love of our Lord Jesus to those who struggle with various addictions and also embrace loved ones and friends who find themselves on the other side of addiction, those who are being adversely impacted by the addict’s destructive lifestyle. Brochures are available at the Ministry Resource Center in the back of the auditorium. For additional information contact George Van Lieu by calling 215-321-3326 ext. 302.
Men's Softball/Basketball
Our men's softball team participates in the Christian Fellowship League each spring. Pick up basketball meets on Wednesday nights at 9:00 PM in the gym through the fall and winter months. Both have proven to be a great entry point for developing relationships with men outside our church family as well as from our own membership. Information and sign-up for softball available in the spring.
Brothers Helping Others
This new ministry provides an opportunity for men to volunteer the talents and gifts that God gave them to help others in need. One Saturday a month, men will meet to perform service work for members of our church family who have a specific need. Along with the fellowship of working side by side, time will be spent looking into God's Word for guidance and spiritual encouragement. If you are interested in participating in this ministry, contact the church office to receive updates and scheduled activities.
