Wednesday Evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm
September – May
To provide a fun and inviting environment in which to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ, encourage them to know Him personally, and instruct them in God’s word.
“As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless.” – 2 Samuel 22:31
Age 3 (who are potty trained) through 6th Grade
Kids Clubs staff is comprised of adult Leaders and teen Jr. Leaders who spend time with the kids, encouraging them to work through their handbooks. These loving and caring volunteers work to make each child feel important as they are nurtured spiritually and develop socially while having fun together. The Leaders and Jr. Leaders assist with activities and lesson time with the kids and help to keep them engaged. Each club also has a Director to lead their team and guide them in the plans and goals for the year.
Kids Clubs are four separate klubs based on age group. Cubbies is for 3 and 4-year olds. Sparks is for Kindergarten
through 2nd Grade. G.I.R.L.S. klub is for girls in 3rd - 6th Grade. Stockade is for boys in 3rd - 6th Grade. This program is structured to be God-honoring and Bible centered while appealing to these young hearts. During a typical club night the children have lesson time, handbook time, game time and other activities. Children are encouraged to use this program as an outreach to their friends and neighbors. By inviting others to attend, our children can share the love of God and the message of salvation with them. We have theme nights throughout the year to add some extra fun and excitement to encourage attendance.
Cubbies is located downstairs in room #104/105
Sparks is located downstairs in room #108/109
G.I.R.L.S. is located in Portable Classroom #204
Stockade is located in Portable Classroom #202
Cubbies is designed for 3 and 4-year olds. 3-year olds must be potty trained to attend the club. The AWANA curriculum offers handbook activities, Bible memorization and awards to help the kids learn basic Bible truths. The materials also require parents’ involvement to help the kids reach their goals to earn their awards.
Sparks is for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade and uses the AWANA handbook. Sparks kids work through their handbooks at their own pace to earn awards for Bible memorization and activities. Sparky dollars are earned for wearing their uniform vests, sections completed in their handbooks, as well as other incentives. Several times throughout the year, the kids can use their Sparky dollars to go shopping in the Sparks Store to buy all kinds of fun items. For those who may struggle with working through their handbooks, there is also a weekly challenge for the kids to complete and a monthly verse to memorize.
While this klub uses AWANA handbooks, G.I.RL.S. is a unique club designed by our Bible Fellowship leaders so that lessons and activities are exclusive to our club. G.I.R.L.S. stands for God’s Instruction in Righteousness, Love and Service. The girls are encouraged to work through their handbooks to memorize Bible verses and complete activities. Included in their evenings on a regular basis is small group time as well as Prayer and Praise nights. It is the hope of our Leaders that G.I.R.L.S. will foster within each girl a sense of value and worth based on the biblical principles of God’s love and His desire to be in a relationship with each one. G.I.R.L.S. also holds a couple of special events during the year which include the awesome “Lock-In” all-nighter held at the church for a full night of fun, lessons and activities.
Stockade is a ministry of the Christian Service Brigade and uses their handbooks and curriculum. This is an active club where in addition to the handbook and lessons, the boys enjoy games, woodworking and other projects. Throughout the year, the boys and Leaders take part in several additional activities including camp weekends, service projects and always exciting Shape N Race where they race their own hand-made cars for prizes and lots of fun. Stockade encourages the boys to complete sections of their handbooks on a regular basis and works to foster godly mentoring relationships between the leaders and the young men. Dads and other important men in these boys' lives are invited to be a part of some of the special events. Remember, God still builds men only one way… from boys.
