What is Woman2Woman Mentoring?

Woman2Woman Mentoring is a ministry that seeks to develop and support one on one relationships between two women with encouragement, support and sharing of biblical principles. We base our ministry on:
 
1 Thessalonians 2:7-8,12
“But we were gentle among you like a mother caring for her little children. We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you, not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us … encouraging, comforting, and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.”

How does it work?

One woman holds the rol of the "mentor". She shares with the Ministry Team what God has done in her life and how she feels she could minister to another woman. She seeks to find out what the "mentee" is looking for in the relationship and helps to guide the relationship so the needs expressed are met. A "mentee" is a woman who is looking for support, encouragement or counsel from another woman. Together, both seek God's answers to life's questions. Confidentiality, respect and commitment are key ingredients to this relationship's success.

What happens next?

The Ministry Team prays and seeks the guidance of the Holy Spirit to "match" the mentor and mentee together. They provide contact information to each woman and support them as they develop and maintain a relationship for about 6 months to a year initially. The mentor and mentee decide how often they want to meet and how they will stay in contact with each other between times they meet.
