Compassion Ministries

Compassion Ministries describe the ministries here at Bible Fellowship that seek to meet the various needs of our church families. Whether new to our congregation or a long-time member, we seek to provide a welcome atmosphere and build caring relationships within the church body.

Deaconess Ministry

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Colossians 3:23,24

The Deaconess Ministry attempts to serve the Lord in this way as we minister to the congregation here at Bible Fellowship. We assist with church dinners, receptions, communion, and baptisms. We provide visitor gifts, emergency meals, flowers, and meet special needs within the congregation. We oversee the greeters at the door as well as the decorations in the worship center. A description of some of these ministry areas follows.

Greeters

The purpose of the Greeters Ministry is to have regular attenders of Bible Fellowship welcome you to our service on Sunday morning. The greeters meet you at the door with smiling faces, cheerful hearts and an outstretched hand. We want you to feel comfortable worshipping with us.

Guest Welcoming Hosts

A team of volunteers serves as our Guest Welcoming Hosts on Sunday mornings after each service. The role of the Host is to warmly greet visitors as they approach the Welcome Table in the back of the auditorium and present them with a Guest Gift Bag containing information about our church, about the EFCA of which we are a member, along with a small gift item to let them know we welcome and appreciate them. The Guest Welcoming Host may also have an opportunity to answer questions or introduce visitors to a pastor or elder.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a group of women with willing hearts who assist the Deaconesses in many areas of ministry to the body such as church dinners and receptions, emergency meals, telephone calling. There is always an opportunity for anyone who is interested in being a part of this ministry. We can always use more hands!

Emergency Meals / Special Needs

As fellow believers, we want to provide help to any of our church families who are in need of meals or special help because of illness, the death of a loved one, emergencies, difficult situations, or the birth of a baby. Please contact the church office if your family has special needs.
